Quicktime
Quicktime is a format for delivering video synchronized with audio. Similar to compressing audio into an MP3 file, Quicktime files are compressed video and compressed audio. Depending upon your audience, your video can be more compressed than your audio and vice versa. The more compression - the lower the quality. However, not all Quicktime movies have a video component. If necessary, they can be just an 'audio movie'.
There are two steps for converting your music to a Quicktime movie. First, it must be recorded into digital audio software. Then it must be encoded into the Quicktime file. Once the file is created, it can be uploaded to your website. Visitors to your page will then click on a link to the Quicktime file and a browser plug-in will play the movie on their computer.
