Real AudioReal Audio is a format for compressed audio. Similar to an MP3 file, Real Audio files are compressed recordings of music or dialogue. However, Real Audio files are compressed to an even smaller file size than an MP3. Where an MP3 is about 1/10th the size of the original sound file, the Real Audio file can be 1/100th the size! However, there is a significant trade off. The more the music is compressed the more the audio quality suffers.There are two steps for converting your music to a Real Audio file. First, it must be recorded into digital audio software. Then it must be encoded into a Real Media file. Once the file is created, it can be uploaded to your website for streaming.
